Interior Design Notes on Model Homes
Asheville, NC & Black Mountain, NC
These two different model homes are nestled in the mountains at Highland Farms in Black Mountain and Givens Retirement Community in Asheville.
For the first home, we chose natural dove gray tones for the floors, wall color, and granite creating a soothing palette base.
In choosing furniture, we kept in mind both the scale of the home and functionality required by prospective homeowners.
Aesthetically, we choose to mix reclaimed woods, concrete, and metals in both the furniture and the artwork to create a transitional feel.
We finished with new lighting to complete the fresh and airy look that works perfectly in the surrounding setting and to appeal to a wide variety of retirees.
For the second home, and its light and airy space, we chose to use natural fabrics with clean lines simple lines, offering an an elegant touch.
The desk and table pull in the warmth of bamboo. The iron bed is simple, yet graceful, which compliments most bedrooms. The art is a mixture of metal pieces and prints on canvas.
