Interior Design Notes on Downtown Condo
Downtown Asheville is trendy, hip and the-place-to-be-seen. To counter the high-energy and vibrant cityscape, our interior design inspiration for the Downtown Condo was a retreat, but one that reflected the art deco glamour of Asheville in the roaring twenties. To create this oasis, we chose a pale and soft metallic palette and accented with the exotic touch of the far east.
The window coverings were key to perfecting the spaces.
In the Dining Room, for window coverings. we chose a beautiful stripe silk fabric for the drapes. Also, to help mitigate the afternoon sun, and further create a sense of inwardness and calm, we added a blackout liner. The drapery was chosen to create an accent against the the light gray walls, and the fabric tones compliment the beautiful oriental rug.
Drapes in both the Dining Area and the Master Suite were installed on iron 2″ custom finished rods with simple finials. Hunter Douglas Silhouettes were used to soften the rooms and finish off the stylish atmosphere.
The Family Room is includes a perfectly elegant, but also comfortable sectional, which is faces the crackling fireplace. Finally, the Guest Room is pleasingly graceful, while remaining casual and inviting for friends and guests.
